So it is now 365 + Days since the World was changed FOREVER.

FOR EVERYONE.

As you all may know. During the pandemic, I have been on the road the WHOLE TIME. 

33 STATES 20,000 + MILES

CRAZY. I AM EXHAUSTED ON EVERY LEVEL.

I did have a number of REST STOPS in a few places.

Patterson, California

Frisco, Colorado

St.Pete Beach, Florida

Charleston, South Carolina

Atlanta, Georgia

These  few places I actually spent sometime in thinking ok maybe this is the place I will just grab an apartment and try to set some roots. 

The problem right now while still in the pandemic, it is very difficult to imagine what it would be like to really  live in these places. 

Atlanta is on the short list  for the simple reason I have friends who live there, as well as the industry being in normal times a bustling industry. 

I just thought if I want to get back into acting it might be a good fit. It is a smaller market with many more opportunities from when I was in LA pursuing my career. So stay tuned. 

Hopefully 2022 will allow me to set down some roots somewhere. TIME WILL TELL.

Right now I am in the hometown for a REST.

WHAT A YEAR.

AS I SIT HERE LOOKING BACK ON 2020 AND NOW THE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF 2021I AM TRYING TO PUT THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE. 

As humans we naturally want to compare ourselves to others. DANGEROUS & POINTLESS.

We are all as individuals are and continue to be affected by Covid-19

Our experiences are NOT THE SAME.

Also the type of loss and suffering people have and are going through, runs the gamut from slight inconvenience, to the worse loss imaginable, the death of a loved one lost to this Pandemic.

We are making strides with curving the spread with many people being vaccinated. As of this post the Biden/Harris administration has managed to get 100,000,000 people vaccinated. Pretty impressive. That is close to 33% of the country. THIS IS HUGE.

Being on the road I learned first hand how important taking care of ones mental health is. 

I suffered quite a few bouts of VERY DARK DEPRESSION. IT WAS NO FUN.

THIS YEAR WAS SO TRAUMATIC FOR SO MANY. 

THE WHOLE WORLD. OVER 7 BILLION PEOPLE. All vulnerable to this SLIENT KILLER. 

This past year has taught me to LIVE LIFE NOW. WE JUST DON'T KNOW.

One day at a time.  

So today is 2.24.21 The Anniversary of my family laying my grandmother at her final resting place for this leg of her journey.  

26 YEARS AGO TODAY.  It does not seem possible. YET IT IS..

LIFE & LOSS is so much a part of what we experience as we all move along our journey.

To my grandmother, I SAY THANK YOU. 

Thank you for your unconditional LOVE. I do not take it for granted. 

The start of the new year has been somewhat rough on all fronts.  Mainly because it has been colored by SO MUCH LOSS. Current and remembrances of loss (PAST) regarding friends and family.

Also the loss of our FREEDOMS. LIFE AS WE KNEW IT. 

For some loss of health, mental well being, loss of jobs/careers.  LOSS OF SELF.

I personally have suffered from all of these.

It has been extremely challenging. But through all of this lessons have been learned. 

For me, one of the lessons is knowing how resilient I am. But also how vulnerable and susceptible to everything I have ben through.

 ALSO WE NEED ONE ANOTHER. CAN'T DO THIS THING CALLED LIFE ALONE.

I always say as humans we can not compare ourselves to others. EASIER SAID THAN DONE. 

Also, everyones pain is their pain, and should not be denied.  It is legitimate and worthy of being addressed. 

I as many of us are dealing with things we have never had to deal with before and figuring out how to process it ALL.

As a global community we have been in a collective state of mourning for a full year now as we have witnessed the tragic loss of over five hundred thousand 500,000 lives lost here in the United States and two and one half million 2. 5 million people Worldwide.  SO MUCH LOSS. SO MANY PEOPLE SUFFERING.  TRAGIC. 

My heart hurts for ALL OF US. 

I personally have been in mourning for years. I feel like I have been in mourning my whole life. 

Mourning for friends, family, loved ones, pets, my youth, my sexuality, lack of career, not having a significant other, now coming to terms and mourning the loss of my younger life and coming to terms with AGING.  It is NO JOKE. 

I say none of this seeking pity. 

This for me as an artist is very therapeutic for me. I have journaled since I was seventeen. I now call myself the almost 55 year old Doggie Howser.

I also feel like we our mourning the loss of respect, morals, humanity, ideals, government, climate. 

WE OUR LOSING SO MUCH. IT IS ALOT. 

I am going to choose to be HOPEFUL AND TRUST THAT LOVE WINS. 

WE ALL MUST KEEP, KEEPING ON. 

I WANT TO SEND LOVE TO EVERYONE. 

I would like to have a bit of a reprieve from anymore loss. PLEASE.

We just had the Inauguration of Joe Biden our oldest President to be sworn in.  

Kamala Harris becomes first female, first black and first Asian-Amercian  Vice President. 

EXCITING TIMES. 

All of this after defeating Donald Trump  back in November and that POS REFUSING TO ACCEPT DEFEAT.

Not only did he refuse to accept REALITY.

He incited an insurrection on the US capitol on Januray 6, 2021.

 Thousands of DOMESTIC TERRORISTS broke into the Capitol. They vandalized the building which also resulted in five people dying. That included the MURDER of a Capitol Hill Police Officer.

Our system is SO BROKEN. I am hoping with the new administration we will began making the REPAIRS that need so desperately to be made.

The fact that DT, HIS FAMILY & DISGUSTING CRIMINAL CRONIES are all not sitting in jail waiting sentencing for TREASON & being ACCESSORIES TO MURDER is something that I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND. 

 He also was still allowed to PARDON 143 MORE CRIMINALS TO BE SET FREE JUST BECAUSE. TOTAL BULLSHIT. HOW?

Most of the country has finally been able to BREATHE and feel a sense of PEACE after the reign of terror we all have just lived through.

Yesterday was a day of HOPE,INCLUSION,UNITY,CIVILITY,HUMANITY,COMPASSION,EMPATY & PROMISE to HEAL AMERICA.

The day was BEAUTIFUL,HOPEFUL, EMOTIONAL  & INSPIRING NEW BEGINNING.

Many of us have not been proud under the mad mans watch. It is nice to feel PRIDE again.

The Inauguration and Celebration was so INCLUSIVE. 

At the Inauguration they had Gaga, Jlo, Garth Brooks perform.

One of the highlights was Poet Amanda Gorman  who read her poem "The Hill We Climb."

So much for the new year starting off on the right foot. 

We are twelve days into what 2021 so far is. 

CAN WE PLEASE GO BACK TO ONE.  

So here we are 2020 in the history books. We were all looking for 2021 being a much better year than 2020.

I still remain HOPEFUL, but OMG we are off to a ROUGH START.

The Pandemic is OUT OF CONTROL. 

 As of today here in the United States  we have 22.7 million cases with 379,000 DEATHS

 INSANE. We are registering over 50,000 cases a day. Just since the beginning of the year. We are talking about 12 DAYS. 

2.5 MILLION CASES  ALMOST 40,000 DEATHS.   

WE ARE FAILING. NOT A GREAT START.

I started the year in Ocean Isle North Carolina. Currently still navigating the uncertainty of this insane time we are living in. 

Oh 2021, WE CAN DO BETTER.

I am holed up at an Extended Stay here in Charleston. Considering making Charleston my base. I THINK.  So difficult making any decision for my life in these times.  I NEED TO TRUST THE PROCESS.

Today we all begin a new 365 day journey. We all start with A BLANK PAGE.

Many of us breathe a sigh of relief that we managed through surviving SO FAR a GLOBAL PANDEMIC which has devastated SO MANY.

The World has literally SHUT DOWN. EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD VULNERABLE TO THE SILENT KILLER KNOWN AS COVID-19.

MASKS, SANITIZER & SOCIAL DISTANCING. 

These are the TOOLS we are given to try and STAY ALIVE.

INSANE, CRAZY, CHAOTIC & HEARTBREAKING YEAR. SO MUCH LOSS.

I was saying to a friend this Pandemic is like LIFE. We all begin it with different tools in our life skills tool boxes.

Not all of our tool boxes have set. us up for SURVIVAL.

Many of us for any number of reasons begin life in the World UNPREPARED to face the Challenges we will be presented with.

Many of those suffering and lost in 2020 in our first year of dealing with the Pandemic have had underlying health issues. Many as well with limited financial means to survive the current climate.  Many in the wrong pace at the wrong time.

The black and brown communities have been disproportionately affected as well. 

My belief during this time,  I try and conduct and live my life, is that whatever is meant to BE will BE.

One of the lessons that this HUGE LIFE LESSON, has taught me is that we really only have the NOW.

We must be more present in our own lives as well as our loved ones. LIFE IS A GIFT. 

We this year will all be faced with many challenges as we continue to NAVIGATE this Pandemic. 

I am ROOTING FOR EVERYONE

TIME IS BORROWED. 

WE must CREATE & LIVE the LIFE WE WANT TO LIVE.

As they say in Hollywood..................................IT'S A WRAP.

2020 has been the longest, the shortest and the most insane year of my 54 years of LIFE.

Started 2020 the sickest that I have ever been. 

Just came back from five weeks in New York  with family and receiving life changing news. I also managed to get a bucket list trip to Cuba in as well. I returned to Utah where for the first thirteen days of the year I was SICK.

We were off season, so it was extremely slow. My wanderlust and self doubts about if I made the right decision to stay was really making my question everything. I mean EVERYTHING.

We closed out the end of January with the news of Kobe Bryant his daughter and seven others losing their lives in a helicopter crash in Calabasas . My old neighborhood. CRAZY. 

The World mourned with Los Angeles as Kobe was an LA institution. Crazy, sad days of GLOBAL MOURNING.

The next six-eight weeks I was feeling much more myself. Excited about the season beginning, I decided I was going to stay for one more season at Zion Mountain Ranch.

Well the world had OTHER PLANS  As word of a GLOBAL PANDEMIC CALLED COVID-19 began to literally SHUT  DOWN THE WORLD.

We all know how that has played out. I lost my job and home in the same conversation. I was given a couple days to pack up my belongings and head out.  Head out where? At that point who knew.

To say this year has been CHALLENGING would not even begin to describe for so many.

This year has come at such a HIGH COST. FIGURATIVELY, EMOTIONALLY,SPIRITUALLY,FINANCIALLY & MENTALLY.  The loss has been unfathomable to SO MANY. 

So many will never recover from this. I could go on and on. I am so disgusted with the US Government. 

ZERO LEADERSHIP.

Every other country has been following guidelines, taking care of their citizens except, YOU GUESSED IT. The good ole USA. $1200 stimulus for TEN MONTHS. Sending people to the streets. 

IT IS PATHETIC. MOST DANGEROUS ANIMAL ON THE PLANET IS THE WHITE MAN. 

We are at a very teachable moment in history. WE ARE FAILING. It is SAD & DISGUSTING.

Throughout this Pandemic families have sent their families to the hospital to NEVER SEE THEM ALIVE AGAIN. This is where we are in the World.  INSANE.

Lots of lessons learned during 2020. RESILIENCE being one of them. 

I personally have been tested to the point of my mental well being coming into question. Many times throughout this year I have felt thatI have been on the verge of a breakdown.

People think that my life is all glamorous and say they envy the life journey that I am on. I say to them to live in my head for a minute and they would think differently and want a REFUND. LOL.

My struggles are my struggles not nearly as challenging as some, but still they are challenges.

HOPING & TRUSTING things get better in 2021 for ALL OF US. 

2020has been filled with LESSONS & AWAKENINGS for so many.

This year we also watched George Floyd being murdered on NATIONAL TELEVISION. 

People all over the world took to the streets in support of the injustice that exists. I happened to be out there traveling while this was happening and was able to document this through my photography.

There has been a LUNATIC who hijacked the White House four years ago for his own PERSONAL INTEREST.

He has pardoned all of his criminal friends. But the Kool-aide drinkers. SEVENTY MILLION PLUS of them STILL CHOSE HIM. THAT IS SOMETHING I WILL NEVER WRAP MY HEAD AROUND. NEVER.

Thank God there has/is an overwhelming majority of people. who live in this country who care about OTHER PEOPLE & AMERICA working for ALL AMERICANS. 

The seventy million plus KOOL-AIDE DRINKERS vote against their own interests. As someone who is interested in psychology I find it all FASCINATING & TERRIFYING.

45 is a disgusting pig along with his whole family. But what the past four years has done is introduced us to the misguided people within our families , friends and communities.  VERY EYE OPENING. WOW.

Personally this has been a difficult year with much loss from both death and death of family and friends and the loss of friendships that are NO MORE.  At least two. one of twenty-five years and one of forty.

2020 has taught me LIFE IS PRECIOUS & TIME IS NOT GUARANTEED.

DO NOT WASTE  TIME OR ENERGY. LESS IS MORE.

SELF CARE IS ESSENTIAL, BE KIND & SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THOSE PEOPLE AND TINGS THAT YOU ARE NOURISHED BY.

So as 2020 nears the end, I take a big breathe and say OH MY GOD.  WOW.

This year was one for the history books for sure.

We are closing out the year with the highest Covid-19 cases throughout the WORLD. 

Just this week they reported almost 1.5 million new cases. That is over 200,000 cases a day being reported. 1.5 MILLION CASES in just 7 DAYS.  

INSANE.

Cities are back in lockdown. Some with curfews. They just shut down California. National Parks are now closed again. New York has implemented no dine in service.

The pandemic is wreaking havoc on the WORLD.

We are now moving into the tenth month of this insanity with no real end in sight. 

Cities, and towns around America and the World have been devastated.  My industry which is hospitality. one of the hardest hit. I am still without work. Not only without work, but without assistance. My benefits ran out three months ago.

The government does not give a shit. 

There has been one stimulus check for ten months in the amount of $1200. How the fuck is that suppose to help anyone. When this is all behind us. The United States is going to look like a third world country. Many will never RECOVER.

 Really so tragic and unnecessary.

This country was hijacked by a LUNATIC & His Misfits who were hell bent on destroying and dividing this country.  I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND. 

WE LEARNED HOW MANY HATEFUL AND IGNORANT PEOPLE LIVE AMONG US. SCARY.

We started tracking this virus nine plus months ago. We have tragically passed the 300,000 mark with loss of lives. 

In the time it would take a woman to carry a child to term we have lost 300,000 PLUS LIVES.  WOW.

This virus has affected and destroyed millions of families. The US government under the leadership or really lack of leadership of that POS who squatted in the White House for four years has abandoned the AMERICA PEOPLE.

It is UNBELIEVABLE what this EVIL Man was allowed to do with no Consequences. It is well over a month since he LOST and he is still throwing a tantrum. 

Pathetic 70 plus million people were PLAYED and they are so fucking stupid they don;'t even realize it STILL. 

I just read the other day that his cult following believes that come January we are going to watch Donald Trump be sworn in as president.  Antonio Sabato Jr. posted this. Dude put the KOOL-AID DOWN.

I am so excited that close to 75 million of us decided to skip the KOOL-AID PARTY.

I am thrilled that after four years of being the laughing stock of the World. We now have all of those people around the world who were laughing and shaking their heads at us. They are now in the streets CELEBRATING OUR VICTORY.

I am finally excited and moved again by the AMERICA FLAG. 

For the past four years, I WAS NOT. I was embarrassed to be an AMERICAN.

It feels incredible to be on the right side of history. Also to watch history in the making. Not only do we have the oldest living president serving we are also in this administration have our very first female VICE PRESIDENT with Kamala Harris. Not only woman of color but also from an immigrant family.

We as humans resist change. CHANGE IS ESSENTIAL TO GROWTH.

2020 WHAT A YEAR. 

It has been one goodbye after another. Can not wait til this year is OVER. 

KOBE, COVID & The Fight for EQUALITY.

Loss of job, home, friends. The loss of our FREEDOMS.

So much to process and navigate in these CRAZY & UNCERTAIN TIMES. 

Yesterday was Mental Health Day. Today is National Coming Out Day.

Yesterday was also the loss of a friend and Co-worker  since 1996.  So happy I was able to visit with my friend Michael O in LA before heading cross country.

Today is my friend Luke's Birthday. We lost Luke almost two years ago. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY.

Love and miss you both........Luke I know you guys have amazing company and are probably having a hell of a welcoming party for Michael.

Everyday for me is MENTAL HEALTH DAY. 

The only reason that I am still among the living is because I really pay attention to my MENTAL HEALTH. 

SELF CARE.

Putting yourself at the top of your list is not only OK. It is absolutely NECESSARY to keeping oneself WELL.

No need to make apologies.  WE ARE WORTH SAVING.

It is a process I must admit. It has taken me years to get to a place where I understand what my needs are for my own WELL BEING.

So here we are now quickly approaching mid-September.  We are now six months into a GLOBAL PANDEMIC.

They are predicting there will be over 400 thousand deaths in US by January. 

The Clown is pleased with these numbers. UNBELIEVABLE.

There has been a tremendous amount of LOSS & SUFFERING.

What a 2020. I believe everyone would like a REDO.  CRAZY TIMES WE ARE ALL LIVING IN.

THE COUNTRY & THE WORLD PUT LIFE ON PAUSE.

Other countries have done much better with the handling of this PANDEMIC.

Here in the US. NOT SO MUCH.

The US PASSPORT is at this moment practically USELESS. We are two months out from the elections.

BIDEN/HARRIS.

I am still on the road. I am currently in Colorado. LOVING MY TIME HERE. 

I have been here for about a month. My first time here in summer/fall. SO BEAUTIFUL

The plan is to be here for another few weeks before jumping back in the car and heading to Florida for the season I am thinking. So the plan would be to be there from October to May. Of course I am very flexible with the itinerary at this time. 

I still am not working. It has been six months. The longest I have ever not worked since I was a boy. I am hoping to land something soon. 

My journey continues as I am in search of MEANING in all the madness we are living through.

I really need to GET QUITE so I can receive the answers to WHAT IS NEXT.

At times I want to keep on moving and other times I feel like it is time to find a place to set roots and build upon the life I have been living. 

Colorado is on the short list. I think I could really be happy here. 

New York is also on the short list. I would love to live in or have access to the GREATEST CTY IN THE WORLD. Fortunately/Unfortunately because of all of the deaths that New York has suffered. The rents are pretty affordable at the moment.

I think for me it is going to come down to I just decide on a place and invest the time and energy into making it work.  NOTHING IN LIFE IS FOREVER. 

If it does not work, I can always going back on the road.

I would love to move out of the country as well. I will live in Italy for awhile once things get back to whatever the NEW NORMAL is going TO BE.

I guess until I decide I will continue to EXPLORE & ADVENTURE. 

As fall is quickly approaching it is important to realize that CHANGE IS CRUCIAL FOR GROWTH. 

THE WORLD IS GOING THROUGH MANY CHALLENGES THIS YEAR. 

We either choose to grow or we are forced to grow. Either way it is for our own good.

It is now the end of the summer and Schools are trying to figure out a safe way for kids to get back to class.

MIND YOU THERE IS NO LEADERSHIP DURING THIS INSANE TIME.

Parents are left with the choice of do I send my kid back to school with little to no insurance that they will be SAFE. I can't imaging being a parent right now.

Pandemic monies have been exhausted with no resolution as Washington has decided to go on VACATION for up to a month.

EXPLAIN TO ME, HOW THE FUCK YOU GO ON VACATION IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC, WITH CLOSE  TO 200,000 DEAD AND COUNTING.   WTF

I don't understand how people value money over HUMAN LIFE.  

HOPING ON NOVEMBER 3RD WE CAN FINALLY BECOME CANCER FREE & WORK ON FIXING THE MESS THAT HAS BEEN CREATED.

TRUSTING, HOPING & HAVING FAITH.

I have been out and about in between sheltering in Place. I have covered over eight thousand (8000) miles so far.  STRANGE AND INTERESTING TIMES TO BEING OUT THERE. 

SAFELY AS POSSIBLE AS I CAN.

I just drove out to COLORADO a few days ago.  I will be planted here for the next four to six weeks before heading across country to FLORIDA. That is what the plan is at the moment . This could all change of course.

COLORADO was always a place on my short list of places of laying down roots and building a life. 

I am thinking NOW many be a great time to just bite the bullet and COMMIT. I will be making a decision in the next week or so. The nice thing about Colorado is there is plenty of work here year road. They have seasonal work both summer and winter.

From what I understand their dead months are May and October which is great because that would leave me with 8 WEEKS VACATION.  Everybody knows how much I love vacation time. 

The more JOE TIME JOE HAS, THE HAPPIER I AM.

LIFE IS FRAGILE. LIFE IS PRECIOUS. 

Before arriving here in Colorado I made a quick stop in LA to visit with a friend and former co-woker. 

My good friend Michael has been in a facility this whole year dealing with some serious health issues.

He is finally able to receive visitors. He has been in lockdown due to Covid-19. 

Once the word got out that he was able to receive visitors. I said that I must/ and want to make this trip to go and see him. 

He was surprised. It was a nice visit.  He was trying to keep his spirits up but it was difficult.

 We sat for about 30 mins. Me is my car with my mask on and he at 8-12 feet distance with his mask on. 

He was grateful for the love and support. He decided to cut the visit short. We both knew that this was going to be the last time we would see each other. SAD.

I told him to take care of himself and I would check in with him. Told him I loved him and drove away.

LIFE IS TOUGH AT TIMES. 

DO NOT WAIT ON ANYTHING IN LIFE. 

WE JUST HAVE THE NOW.
